the song is called "it's going to change" and began as a quirky little instrumental idea but quickly manifested into this whole other entity, steamrolling along and haunting me until it's completion.

the lyrics were inspired by itgetsbetter.org which in case you were unaware, is a non-profit whose contributions benefit the "it gets better project" and "the trevor project".

itgetsbetter.org is a website whose goal is to prevent suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth (lgbtq) by having adults convey the message that these teens' lives will improve. they currently have more than 50,000 video entries from people of all sexual orientations, including many celebrities.

thetrevorproject.org is the leading national organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among lgbtq youth through their toll-free "the trevor lifeline", a 24-hour confidential service that offers trained counselors. they also provide guidance and vital resources to parents and educators in order to foster safe, accepting and inclusive environments for all youth, at home and at school.

the message of my lyrics is directed to anyone that is feeling in crisis. that no matter how bad things might seem right now, they will change and get better, you just have to give it the time needed for that to happen.

50% of the proceeds go to itgetsbetter.org
